A standard made-to-measure áo dài takes two to four weeks, depending on the complexity of the design. A hand-embroidered wedding áo dài can take six to eight weeks. We ask brides to order at least two months before the wedding, so there is time for fittings and adjustments.

If you order online, our consultant sends you a measuring guide once the deposit is confirmed, so you can take your measurements comfortably at home. At the atelier, our fitter takes them in person and keeps them on file, so your next order needs no second visit.

We ask brides to order at least two to three months before the wedding day. That allows time to choose the fabric, complete the hand embroidery, and fit and adjust the garment two or three times until it sits perfectly. For heavily hand-embroidered pieces or special requests, four to six months is better.

For summer, we recommend mulberry silk, cotton silk or chiffon, light, breathable fabrics that handle heat gracefully. For winter and formal occasions, brocade, velvet and heavier hand-embroidered silks hold warmth while carrying a refined elegance. The traditional áo dài retains the original silhouette: a tall mandarin collar, a long tail reaching the ankle, a fitted waistline, and loose trousers. The modern (cách tân) áo dài moves more freely, with boat or round necklines, shorter tails, and pairings with skirts or tailored trousers, suited to contemporary life.
